Ricci: “High-Level Tournament, we will return from Crete a better team”
The countdown for the 5th Aegean Omiros College CRETE IBT has begun. Olympiacos, Fenerbahçe, Armani Milano, and Crvena Zvezda will arrive in Heraklion, Crete, in the coming days to compete in a Euroleague-level tournament (September 19-21).
The opening tip-off of the most difficult and unpredictable Euroleague of recent years is approaching, and the four teams will have the opportunity to test their strength in the best possible way.
Ettore Messina’s Armani Milano, with its many stars, will be the first team to arrive in Heraklion. Their arrival is scheduled for Wednesday, and they will, of course, train at the Nea Alikarnassos indoor stadium at 5:30 p.m.
The captain of the historic Italian team, Giampaolo Ricci, speaking to the tournament organizers, stated, “We are looking forward to playing in this very strong tournament in Heraklion, Crete. Since we have so many new faces on our roster, I believe this is a great opportunity to measure ourselves and see where we are in our preparation.
The only thing for sure is that we will return from Crete a better team.”
