The “BEE TOGETHER” Social Footprint at the Aegean Omiros College Crete IBT International Basketball Tournament

The “Aegean Omiros College Crete IBT” International Basketball Tournament returns for the 5th consecutive year to Heraklion, Crete, from September 19 to 21, hosting some of Europe’s top teams, specifically Olympiacos, the European champions Fenerbahçe, Armani Milano, and Crvena Zvezda, in a unique three-day sports event.

Environmental Action “BEE TOGETHER” – Basketball with a social and ecological purpose.

As part of the tournament’s social responsibility, the environmental action “BEE TOGETHER” will take place on Saturday, September 20 (10:00 a.m.), in collaboration with the valuable support of the Heraklion Beekeepers Cooperative – CSR Partner.
During the event, activities will be held with the presence of great athletes from the four teams, alongside children from Heraklion’s basketball academies. The goal of the action is to highlight environmental awareness, the need to protect bees, and to support local producers and their relationship with society and sports.

Ricci: “High-Level Tournament, we will return from Crete a better team”

The countdown for the 5th Aegean Omiros College CRETE IBT has begun. Olympiacos, Fenerbahçe, Armani Milano, and Crvena Zvezda will arrive in Heraklion, Crete, in the coming days to compete in a Euroleague-level tournament (September 19-21).
The opening tip-off of the most difficult and unpredictable Euroleague of recent years is approaching, and the four teams will have the opportunity to test their strength in the best possible way.
Ettore Messina’s Armani Milano, with its many stars, will be the first team to arrive in Heraklion. Their arrival is scheduled for Wednesday, and they will, of course, train at the Nea Alikarnassos indoor stadium at 5:30 p.m.
The captain of the historic Italian team, Giampaolo Ricci, speaking to the tournament organizers, stated, “We are looking forward to playing in this very strong tournament in Heraklion, Crete. Since we have so many new faces on our roster, I believe this is a great opportunity to measure ourselves and see where we are in our preparation.

The only thing for sure is that we will return from Crete a better team.”

This year’s Euroleague will be the most unpredictable and strongest of recent years. The Final 4 will be held in Athens after 19 years, the number of teams has increased to 20, and the quality of the games has increased along with it.

We will get a first taste of top-level basketball in Heraklion, Crete. The Aegean Omiros College CRETE International Basketball Tournament (IBT) returns for the 5th consecutive year and is better than ever. From September 19-21, all the Euroleague stars will be in Crete.

Georgios Bartzokas’ Olympiacos will play for the first time in front of their home crowd. Fournier, Evans, Vezenkov, and the rest of the red-and-white stars are ready to offer an amazing spectacle.

Joining them are Armani Milano, who made great transfers this year like Guduric and Cančar; the European champions Fenerbahçe with two new arrivals from the NBA (Boston, Baycott); and Giannis Sfairopoulos’ Crvena Zvezda, who added Moneke and Nuora.

The four teams will come to Crete to test their strengths and weaknesses ahead of the Euroleague premiere (30/09). In fact, Crvena Zvezda will host Armani Milano in the first round.
